Are you interested in funding Black-led organisations and racial justice work? Attend our free1-hour Zoom webinar on 4th December, 12.30-1.30pm, to hear from charities and funders about what it takes to do this well, and to help shape IVAR’s future support for the Open and Trusting Grant-making community.
We are currently developing a resource for the 125 funders signed up to Open and Trusting Grant-making, exploring the key issues that Black-led organisations and racial justice organisations are facing, and what funders can do to fund them better. It is based on a desk review of research and campaigns from over 20 charities and funders; a copy will be shared with you in advance of the webinar.
This webinar will cover:
Reflections from a panel of charities and funders about their experiences of funding for equity and racial justice work, including:Tracey Fletcher, Chair, Peter Minet Trust
Fizza Qureshi, CEO, Migrants' Rights Network
Valerie Goode, Founder, Coco Collective
Peter Cunnison, Regional Manager for the West Midlands, Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales
Questions and reflections from the audience and our panel of charities focusing on how Open and Trusting funders can be supported and encouraged to develop their practices, the potential value and use of the draft resource, and what IVAR’s role – as convenor of the Open and Trusting community – might be.
We look forward to seeing you next month. Please forward this invitation to anyone else in your organisation who might be interested in attending.
