The London Institute for Contemporary Christianity (LICC)

We have a dream that every Christian would go out into their bit of God’s world confident that God can work through them, confident that Jesus is good news for the people they meet, good news for the things they do, good news for the organisations they engage in.

From our beginnings in 1982, the mission and activities of The London Institute for Contemporary Christianity (LICC) were inspired by the wondrous good news of Christ for all of life. Our founders, John Stott and friends, saw how difficult it was for Christians to make the connection between the living Word of God and the challenges they faced out in his world. They recognised how drastically this shrivelled the church’s mission to the nation. And they were determined to tackle it head-on.
