The Jerusalem Trust was founded in 1982 by Sir Timothy and Lady Susie Sainsbury and has awarded almost £100m worth of grants since then.
The Trust supports Christian charities and organisations on a regional or national scale. Priority areas include Evangelism and Mission in the UK; Evangelism and Mission Overseas; Christian Education; and Christian Media. Strategic priorities and criteria within these areas are reviewed annually.
We are unable to fund: individuals or capital costs; smaller charities with less than £200,000 annual income; CICs or newer charities (less than 2 years). It is also very unlikely we would fund individual churches or hyperlocal organisations within our main funding programme.
