Cultivating Collaboration

Collaboration is something almost every funder values — yet it can be surprisingly hard to put into practice. In our recent Christian Funders Forum Conversation, members gathered to reflect on why that is, what might help, and where signs of shared working are already beginning to grow.

When Christian Funders Gather

What happens when Christian Funders gather? A glimpse of our January gathering - a space for shared wisdom, encouragement and connection. If you're a Christian funder looking for community, we'd love to connect.

Supporting Charities Beyond Funding

Over recent weeks, a short questionnaire was shared with charity leaders to explore what kinds of support is most needed right now — not instead of funding, but alongside it. The responses offer a helpful snapshot of the pressures leaders are navigating and the types of support that could make a meaningful difference.

Why the Christian Funders Forum Exists

Christian grant‑funding organisations play a quiet but significant role in the life of the Church and in the flourishing of communities across the UK. They resource ministries, strengthen charities, and help sustain work that reflects God’s heart for justice, compassion and restoration. Yet for all their influence, Christian funders often carry pressures that are rarely seen or spoken about.

Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025

Christian funders join forces for the UK’s largest Christmas fundraising campaign. This festive season, members of the Christian Funders’ Forum have come together to donate up to £224,000 to 78 charities as part of the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025. What is the Big Give Christmas Challenge? The Christmas Challenge is the UK’s largest collaborative fundraising campaign, created to support a wide range of charities at the time of year when help is needed most. Through match-funding, donations from the public can be doubled by funders, creating twice the impact for vital causes.

The Big Give Together Fund

The Together Fund is a joint initiative from some of the Christian Funders Forum members. It provides “Champion” match funding for Christian charities in the Big Give Christmas Challenge. In 2024 the Together Fund was able to Champion 59 small Christian charities in the Big Give Christmas Challenge.  This has increased to 78 charities in 2025.

Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme

The Listed Places of Worship Grants Scheme is a lifeline for historic churches – saving them 20 per cent on repair costs, through refunds on VAT. But the future of the scheme is uncertain – and listed places of worship across the country are now paying up to a fifth more for repairs, to fix urgent needs like leaking roofs and crumbling towers. Some of them cannot afford to do these repairs anymore, putting heritage and church buildings across the country at risk of disrepair and closure.
